BRT Customizer 1.0.0 adds a global frontend notice with built-in scheduling. This allows administrators to publish site-wide messages in Redmine for maintenance windows, release announcements, onboarding notes, or urgent alerts.
How it works #
1) Admin configures the notice in Live Customizer
From the BRT Customizer Live Customizer panel, the administrator uses the Global frontend notice section to enable the banner, choose the notice type, define the audience, add a headline, and write the formatted body text.
2) Admin sets the schedule
The same section lets the administrator define optional start and end dates. If the start date is empty, the notice starts immediately. If the end date is empty, it stays visible until it is disabled.
What users will see #
When the schedule and audience conditions match, users see a global notice below the top menu on the frontend. The banner can be used for informational, warning, or alert-style messages and gives administrators a simple way to communicate across the whole site without extra plugins.
Notes #
- Works as a site-wide frontend communication tool inside BRT Customizer.
- Supports audience targeting for all users, logged-in users, or anonymous visitors.
