Possible causes:

Invalid or corrupted JSON file
Skin belongs to a different theme (Zenmine vs Boostmine)

How to fix it:

Make sure the file is a valid JSON backup
Restore Zenmine skins only in Zenmine, and Boostmine skins only in Boostmine
Re-download the skin file if needed
