BRT Customizer allows you to easily apply and adjust the official Zenmine and Boostmine skins, designed to give your Redmine a polished and professional appearance in seconds.
These skins are pre-designed visual styles, created by the theme authors, and optimized for real-world Redmine usage.
What Are Skins? #
Skins are ready-made visual configurations that define:
Carefully selected color palettes
Balanced contrast and readability
Visual hierarchy
Overall look and feel of the theme
They are carefully designed to work perfectly with Zenmine or Boostmine, without breaking layouts or usability.
How to Use an Official Skin (Step by Step) #
Using a skin with BRT Customizer is straightforward.
1. Download the Skin from the Website #
Go to your My Account area
Access the Zenmine Skins or Boostmine Skins page. You will see the download buttons that are hidden to non customers.
Download the skin file provided (JSON file)
Each skin is delivered as a JSON file, ready to be imported into BRT Customizer. The skin file contains the visual configuration prepared for the theme.
2. Open BRT Customizer #
Go to Administration → BRT Customizer
Select the active theme (Zenmine or Boostmine)
Open the BRT customizer page
You will see the live preview on the right and the settings panel on the left.
4. Restore the Skin Using “Restore Backup / Skin” #
To apply the skin:
Scroll to the Backup / Restore section at the bottom of the page
Click Restore backup / skin
Select the downloaded JSON skin file
Confirm the action
The skin is immediately loaded into the customizer and reflected in the live preview.
5. Save and Apply #
Click Save
Make sure “Apply BRT Customizer settings” is enabled
The skin is now active and applied globally to your Redmine instance.
Fine-Tuning an Official Skin #
After applying a skin, you can safely:
Replace logos or background images
Adjust accent colors
Make small layout refinements
All changes are applied on top of the official skin, preserving its original design structure.
